NarKandi Exchange Program

Harm Reduction Circle initiated the NarKandi Exchange Program in 2021 as a way to engage the EDM/rave community and raise awareness about the opioid epidemic. Through this initiative, we hope to prevent overdoses caused by party drugs laced with Fentanyl by getting Narcan into the hands of ravers who attended events around the United States.

By combining Narcan + Kandi we create NarKandi! Narcan (also called Naloxone) is a nasal spray used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It works on drugs such as heroin, fentanyl, & all other opioids. Once administered it blocks the opioid receptors in the brain which reverses the effects of opioid-related overdoses in as little as 2-3 minutes. Kandi is handmade, brightly colored bracelets made from beads & elastic. Most commonly Kandi is traded from one person to another at festivals, raves, or concerts.
