On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the City of Irvine honored 23 individuals and organizations whose names were added to the Wall of Recognition—celebrating those who have made lasting contributions to the community. Among this year’s honorees was Harm Reduction Circle, recognized under the Roots of Our Community category for our organization’s ongoing work to improve health, safety, and dignity for residents across Irvine and beyond.

The Wall of Recognition, located at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, was established in 2006 and now features more than 420 honorees. The distinction acknowledges individuals and organizations whose leadership, service, and innovation have made a meaningful difference in Irvine’s growth and quality of life.

“At the heart of our vibrant community are the people who live and work in Irvine,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “The outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to Irvine that each of these honorees demonstrate are an important part of what makes our City truly special. I am grateful to them for all they do to enhance our community.”

Harm Reduction Circle’s inclusion reflects our commitment to advancing public health and compassion-based safety strategies within Irvine. Through outreach, overdose prevention, and education, our work continues to build partnerships that strengthen community resilience and reduce preventable harm. We are deeply honored to receive this recognition.
