About the Event
We’d like to invite you to join Meals on Onewheels Orange County 🍊(MOOW OC) in the Main Street USA Independence Day Parade in Corona, CA on Tuesday, July 4, 2023! 🇺🇸🛞💨 As a part of our unique program, you'll not only have an amazing time but also contribute to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness & at high risk for drug overdoses.
Meals on Onewheels provides street-based distribution of nutritious meals to the homeless population through community-driven events featuring Onewheels & other PEVs. Our Orange County 🍊 chapter is unique in that we incorporate harm reduction measures into all of our distribution efforts & outreach events. This includes providing life-saving supplies like Naloxone (Narcan), SSP services, & other essential items like hygiene products, clothing, bedding, & more. This chapter is managed by Harm Reduction Circle, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We are looking to have between 10 & 25 Onewheel riders to join us to ride in the parade. 🇺🇸🛞💨 This is an opportunity to not only entertain the crowd with some Onewheel shenanigans 🤪 but also network with local businesses & riders & spread the word about the Meals on Onewheels initiative in Orange County! 🙌  Riders interested in participating in the Corona Independence Day Parade are encouraged to wear a quirky patriotic outfit 🤪 or rock some custom red, white, & blue MOOW swag we’ll be gifting each rider.
